ActiveTRACK is HealthWare Systems’ patient tracking solution designed to maintain an electronic waiting list for patient registration. The ActiveTRACK solution makes it easy to track and measure performance benchmarks such as registration area wait time, registration, paperwork and documentation time by registration area and registrar. Built to integrate with our ActiveWARE solution, ActiveTRACK allows ancillary departments to bump a patient on the waiting list and move that patient to an underutilized area as soon as possible.
Utilizing our greeter software, a patient may check-in at a kiosk or greeter station, and a wayfinding map can be produced to direct them to their ultimate destination. For pre-registered patients, any documents that must be signed can be produced for immediate review and completion.
After a patient takes a seat in the waiting area, ActiveTRACK logs them into the electronic waiting list maintained by the system and initializes the first benchmark (wait time until registration begins).
During registration, the ActiveTRACK timer tracks the time elapsed until an HL7 registration record is received, which indicates the registration is complete. Any paperwork or scanning that must still take place can be added to this timeframe or tracked separately.
By measuring the historical benchmarks and comparing expected patient volumes (based on scheduled accounts) with ActiveTRACK, it is possible to do some basic projections of the facility’s staffing levels needed for the next day.
